Now, I haven’t seen all zombie movies, but this may be the best zombie movie ever made. It’s right up there with 28 Days Later. Setting, character, style – it’s all perfection and if you love the genre, hell if you love good movies, watch this fantastic Korean film.
A divorced father is taking his daughter from Seoul to Busan. About an hour’s ride by bullet train. But a zombie gets on the train.
And these are the 28 Days Later zombies. They are fast, relentless, and they turn you into a zombie very quickly so the infection spreads incredibly fast. What a treat all around. Somehow they even throw in a villain that’s more hate-able than any other horror zombie movie.
I can’t stress this enough, great effects, great filmmaking – and it’s extra scary watching it during this coronavirus outbreak.
4 out of 4 stars.
