Notch: Left of the Dial IPA

Notch is a new-ish brewery (for me) in Salem MA. They specialize in sessionable beer. I haven’t had many sessionable IPAs, so I’m not sure where this one lands but it’s certainly not a winner.

Lightly hoppy nose, nothing major. Golden, hazy color with minimal head on the pour. The taste is….I’m not even sure. Is it hoppy? is it crisp? Is it a weird combo of both? I lean hoppy but I can’t really tell. It’s just…. meh. Nothing special but I’m not about to give it a great recommendation.

1 1/2 out of 4 stars. I’ll drink four before realizing something else might taste better.
