Ballast Point: Grunion Pale Ale

Grunion is another in Ballast Point’s series of employee homebrews that were good enough to sell. It’d be pretty coincidental if all those homebrewers turned out to be the brewers at Ballast Point.

Cuz this one is good. Deep and golden in color, you can smell the melon on the frothy nose. And then when you sip it. Just melon-y all around. It’s a great summer pale ale. Super crushable, yet extremely complicated on the tongue, Grunion is an awesome Pale Ale. And it’s reasonably priced! Unlike other Ballast Point beers…

3 out of 4 stars. Would crush a 6 pack.
