Lagunitas continues to prove that if you see a new beer of theirs on the shelf, you can safely purchase it without fear.
Brewed in memory of the time the authorities shut them down because of nefarious reasons, Undercover Shut-down is bitter in memory and taste. This is one strong mama. Almost 10% and a light amber shade, Shut-down is bitter on the nose and the taste. But not IPA hoppy, just bitter if that makes any sense. It’s not blowing my mind, but it is a solid 6-pack. Especially for the ludicrously low price they sell it for, compared to all the other breweries that would charge double for this kind of beer.
2 1/2 out of 4 stars. Would buy the 6 pack.
